Day 52 - Huntington, IN to Kent, OH

Day 52 - Today's plan is to drive 246 miles in 6 hours. (Click on any photo to enlarge) We started our morning with a delicious breakfast at the Purviance House Inn. We drove about 2 hours, then stopped at the Litzenburg Memorial Woods in Findlay, OH. There was nobody here! We walked the trails and explored the grounds. Common Yellowthroat Northern Cardinal We stopped in Tiffin, OH to eat at Reino's Pizza & Pasta . This place was incredibly inexpensive and the food was delicious and the people friendly. From here we attempted to make it to Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens before closing. Unfortunately, we just missed it. This 70 acre estate has gardens and one of the largest mansions in the United States. We ended our day at Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Kent, OH. Today's Route:

Day 53 - Kent, OH to Ludlow, VT

Day 53 - After conversation we decided that we didn't want to stay another night on the road and decided to drive 620 miles in 10.5 hours. We turned off the filters in Google Maps and hit the interstates. Not really much sightseeing today, except for one surprising stop. Driving 3 hours, we stopped in Jamestown, NY for fuel. Julie had been researching interesting places to stop and discovered that Lucille Ball was buried in Jamestown. We decided to see if we could find her burial site. Lucille is buried at the Lake View Cemetery; when we arrived Julie asked me to ask for directions to her gravesite. Of course, "real men don't ask for directions", so Julie asked and they pointed to a painted line with hearts on it. What a great idea! We followed the hearts right to Lucille and family. 5.5 hours later Julie, using Tripadvisor found us an interesting place to eat.
