Vischer Ferry Nature and Historic Preserve

Vischer Ferry Nature and Historic Preserve is in Clinton Park, New York. It follows the Mohawk River and includes two historic Erie Canal towpath trails, Double Lock 19, Clutes Dry Dock, Fort's Ferry and nature trails. It is also a bird conservation area with more than 200 bird species being observed. While we were here we identified 7 bird species, one new to me was the Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. To learn more visit Vischer Ferry Nature & Historic Preserve. To learn more about the Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway also in Clifton Park, NY. We could have easily spent more time exploring this area. (Click on any photo to enlarge)
