Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site

The place did not disappoint. Gene Stratton-Porter was an American writer, nature photographer and naturalist. To learn more about Gene and the state historic site, go to https://www.indianamuseum.org/historic-sites/gene-stratton-porter/ . There were wildflowers everywhere, carpeting the surrounding woods. Also well kept gardens with many flowers. The surrounding trees were filled with an abundance of birds. We spent 2 1/2 hours here, longer than the planned 1 hour that we intended. It was beautiful and peaceful. (Click on any photo to enlarge)
